Nicola Mining Inc. (TSXV: NIM) has begun receiving gold and silver ore from Talisker Resources (TSX: TSK) and is currently undergoing pre-production adjustments.Nicola’s $33 million milling and processing facility, located near Merritt, British Columbia, has undergone several upgrades in 2024.Production at the facility is expected to ramp up and reach full capacity in Q3.The company has also begun the process of applying for a permit amendment to increase mill throughput.Nicola’s Merritt Mill is the only facility in British Columbia permitted to accept third-party gold and silver mill feed from across the province.The company had previously announced that it signed a milling agreement with Talisker on July 18, 2024.The two companies have started working with Ocean Partners UK Limited on the sale of gold and silver concentrate.In addition to gold and silver production, Nicola is preparing to begin copper exploration at its New Craigmont Copper Project—a high-grade property spanning over 10,800 hectares along the southern end of the Guichon Batholith. The project is adjacent to Highland Valley Copper, Canada’s largest copper mine.Nicola also owns 100% of the Treasure Mountain Property, which includes 30 mineral claims and a mineral lease, covering more than 2,200 hectares.Nicola shares were down 1.4% Wednesday morning in Toronto, giving the company a market capitalization of C$61.8 million (US$44.7 million).
