Romania CPI Falls At Slower Rate In August

(RTTNews) - Romania's consumer prices decreased at a slower pace in August, figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Monday.

The consumer price index edged down 0.2 percent year-over-year in August, following a 0.8 percent decline in the previous month.

Prices of non-food products dropped 1.4 percent annually in August and costs for services dipped by 1.0 percent. At the same time, grocery prices registered an increase of 2.0 percent.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1 percent in August.
