EQS-News: DATAGROUP wins kubus IT as a new customer for the delivery of workplace services

Pliezhausen, 14 November 2024. DATAGROUP has entered into a new partnership with kubus IT, the IT service provider of AOK Bavaria and AOK PLUS. As part of a contract in a double-digit million euros range, DATAGROUP will provide services for over 17,000 workplaces. Kubus IT eGbR, which is headquartered in Bayreuth, has been IT service provider of AOK Bavaria and AOK PLUS since 2008 and supports over 17,000 AOK users. DATAGROUP will be responsible for the supply and support of workplace infrastructure at more than 350 locations in Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia within the scope of the new partnership. This also includes the installation, migration, addition and deinstallation of the hardware components (IMAC-R) as well as accompanying services such as storage, disposal, asset management, order processing and repair services. The four-month transition phase will start in fall 2024, before DATAGROUP will officially take over operations from January 2025 for a term of 48 months. The service agreements guarantee high standards and a reliable delivery of IT services. “This large-scale contract continues our series of strong order intake of the last few months and illustrates the growing demand for CORBOX Workplace Management”, says Andreas Baresel, Chief Executive Officer of DATAGROUP. “We look forward to supporting kubus IT in providing highly available and efficient IT workstations which fully comply with the specific requirements of AOK, helped by our long-term experience and our well-proven services.” By opting for DATAGROUP, kubus IT relies on the proven and tested managed service concept of CORBOX to further enhance the quality and efficiency of their IT workplace services and support the digitalization scheme of AOKs. “In DATAGROUP we have found a strong partner who will look after our IT services at the highest possible level”, explains Franz Linner, Business Area Manager User Support at kubus IT. “By joining forces, we can respond more flexibly and efficiently to the needs of our customers to further advance the digital transformation of the AOKs in Bavaria and Saxony.“
