The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to earn a positive absolute return on investments by seeking to outperform the MSCI World Index (the “Index”) through active systematic security selection and diversified, optimized portfolio construction. The Index serves as benchmark for performance comparison purposes. Whilst the Sub-Fund’s securities may be components of the Index, the Sub-Fund will not necessarily invest only in the Index constituents. Numeric Investors LLC, the Sub-Investment Manager of the Sub-Fund (please see further below for more information) has significant freedom to invest in a portfolio that is materially different from the Index composition. The Sub-Fund is actively managed and the Sub Investment Manager may invest in countries and security types not included in the Index in order to take advantage of investment opportunities.
