SFC Energy AG receives first order from Saudi Arabia for fuel cells for 100 public safety monitoring systems Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, 5 March 2025 – SFC Energy AG (“SFC”, F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary, portable and mobile hybrid power solutions, has received its first order from Saudi Arabia. RESTART Limited Company (“RESTART”), which specialises in construction and infrastructure solutions, has ordered EFOY Pro methanol fuel cells and accessories. This is the first time that SFC Energy delivers its solutions to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contract will contribute to both revenue and earnings in the financial year 2025. RESTART will use SFC's fuel cell technology for Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and other public safety monitoring systems. The EFOY fuel cells and associated accessories will provide the user with self-sufficient power for mobile and stationary CCTV and other surveillance systems in off-grid locations, ensuring a reliable, uninterrupted and environmentally friendly power supply. Furthermore, RESTART’s commitment to clean energy aligns seamlessly with the Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on clean energy and finding innovative solutions to diversify and minimize traditional energy sources. The order follows an intensive proof-of-concept phase carried out by RESTART and the user over several months at various locations. During this time, RESTART and the user thoroughly tested and compared the performance of other solutions in a trial setup in the high-temperature locations of Saudi Arabia. SFC's fuel cell technology has proven its performance, reliability and low-maintenance requirements, outperforming the competition even in these harsh and demanding climatic conditions. Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG: “Partnering with RESTART marks a significant step in strengthening our presence in the Middle East, a key region for our global growth strategy. The successful trial phase of our fuel cells in the high-temperature region of the Arabian Peninsula highlights the flexibility and reliability of our technology. As part of our commitment to a climate-neutral energy supply, we are excited to deepen our relationship with Restart and further expand our presence in the Middle East, bringing sustainable energy solutions to this vital region.” Mr. Fahad Alsuhaim, Vice Chairman of RESTART Limited Company: “Partnership with SFC enabled us to provide a reliable and cost-effective solution to our strategic client. In addition to logistics savings, our solution is in-line with Vision 2030, which RESTART contributes to by use of environmentally friendly products.” Further information on SFC Energy's Clean Energy and Clean Power Management solutions can be found at sfc.com.
